The Women's Business Council - Southwest

The Women’s Business Council – Southwest’s (WBCS) Parade of Stars Awards Gala was held last evening at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas. It was a special night for WBCS members, volunteers and staff. It was fun to see attendees dressed to impress and in such a celebratory mood. To begin the evening, guests were welcomed by a red carpet and a reception area buzzing with the sound of old friends coming together and new friends making introductions. Once the ballroom doors were opened, dinner was served and the program began. Jessica Narvaez, Chief Diversity Officer with Pinnacle Technical Resources, and Tom Cowlishaw, Director of Client Services with Employment Screening Services, were gracious to host us as we held a silent auction, gave away raffle prizes, played the Glow it Up game, and most importantly, handed out the 2015 WBCS Awards. The event was co-chaired by Jessica Narvaez and Heather Ramsey, Global Supplier Diversity, New Business Development Manager at AT&T, and organized by a committee of volunteers.

The night wrapped up with an after party with a funky, grooving dance party and more networking, because you can NEVER have too much networking. This year’s Gala was particularly special to WBCS staff. WBCS is honoring a special milestone in 2015, our 20 year anniversary (whoop whoop!), and feelings of sentiment and nostalgia come easily. This year is truly our time to shine. Thank you to everyone who made last evening possible.
