Please join Women’s Business Council – Southwest on Thursday, July 30 from 10:00 – 11:30 AM for our annual Austin Insights event which will now be a virtual event experience hosted on the Zoom platform. We will listen and learn about the highly anticipated Project Connect from Cap Metro which will create a bold transit plan including a new light rail system, a downtown transit tunnel, new MetroRapid routes and vehicles, transition to a zero-emissions fleet, and much more.
Waterloo Greenway Conservancy | Phase 1
Park Rendering
Following Cap Metro will be a presentation from Waterloo Greenway Conservancy, a nonprofit organization currently constructing a 1.5 mile park and urban ecosystem through Downtown Austin that promises to bring a completely new park experience to Austin. This groundbreaking park boasts new tree-lined-hike-and-bike trails, multiple picnic areas, imaginative playscapes, lush wetland terraces, gardens filled with native plants and wildflowers, and the revolutionary new Moody Amphitheater.
Both projects promise to bring economic opportunities to small and women-owned businesses in and outside of Austin. These presentations will be followed by Q&A sessions and you can learn more about the projects at the links below:
