The Strategies to Advice and Grow Enterprise (SAGE) Advice program is another way that Capital One’s Supplier Diversity team demonstrates its commitment to implementing innovative ways to develop and bring opportunities to certified diverse businesses. A cornerstone of the program is the support system established for each participating Women Business Enterprise (WBE). That system includes a WBE business leader and a Capital One Business Resource Partner (BRP) who assist business owners in applying the concepts they learn through the program to develop a solid business plan.

Impact Ventures is a non-profit organization that believes in the value of leveraging the genius of all people, regardless of ethnicity, gender, or class. They envision an economy where access, opportunity, and prosperity is shared. Their mission is to empower talented, yet under-estimated Women and Communities of Color to build generational wealth through inclusive entrepreneurship, community wealth building, and integrated capital.

Free of charge for participants, the JE Dunn Minority Contractor Development program is composed of M/WBE contractors who have been selected through an application and interview process. Not only is the program intended to prepare small businesses for success in the construction industry, but one vital purpose is to provide them with the chance to work with JE Dunn.

The Toyota Mentorship Program (TMP) for Small and Diverse Businesses aims to help businesses that may lack the technical expertise or skills to compete more effectively in their given market. To help bridge that gap, TMP partnered with several organizations such as the Women’s Business Council — Southwest, Women’s Business Enterprise Council — West, North Texas LGBT Chamber of Commerce and the Plano Chamber of Commerce to identify new mentees for the program.

To fuel success for women-owned businesses, WBENC offers multiple programs and opportunities designed to support business development and growth, from pitch competitions to executive education programs.
