Last month we celebrated one full year of Women Owned Wednesdays, a monthly virtual event designed to highlight a WBE or woman entrepreneur in the Austin area. Every fourth Wednesday of the month we gather and learn from our speakers who share insight into their industry, teach us skills they have discovered along the way, and how they got to be where they are today.

For our April Women Owned Wednesday we met with Statewide HUB Programs Manager, Maya Ingram, who shared extremely helpful and pertinent information about what it means to be HUB certified and the resources available after HUB certification is approved. She spoke to the importance of this statewide certification, how to apply, how to use certification, and what the future of HUB certification will look like. In an effort to always provide the most up-to-date resources to our membership and women entrepreneurs in our region, we have provided the recording of Maya’s presentation, including the Q&A session at the end of our event. Watch the video below.

As an additional benefit of WBCS certification, eligible businesses are automatically screened and submitted for the State of Texas’ HUB certification. To learn more about certification through our organization, please click here.
