Lillie Knox Investing for Growth Award
The Women’s Business Council – Southwest (WBCS) invites WBEs to apply for the Lillie Knox Investing for Growth Award for the chance to receive up to $5,000 to help grow your business! This award is available to all WBEs who are eligible … regardless of company or revenue size.
The process couldn’t be easier. Just submit a completed application by July 31, 2014, with the following information:
- A brief description of your and your company’s involvement in WBCS
- A brief description of your critical business need
- How you would use the cash award of up to $5,000 to support this need
- How meeting this need would support the growth and development of your business

AWARD CRITERIA
- Recipient(s) must currently be a certified WBE member(s) of the Women’s Business Council – Southwest for at least two years (original certification date must be before 8/1/12).
- The award application (see attached) must be completed by the owner of the certified business and returned to WBCS by July 31, 2014 – no exceptions! Applications received after this date will be unopened. Send applications via email to Amy Yandell or mail to WBCS, 2201 N. Collins St, Ste 158, Arlington, TX 76011.
- The Selection Committee will determine the recipient(s) and dollar amount of award(s). Recipients will be announced at the Lillie Knox Memorial Luncheon at Harvesting Partnerships on September 4, 2014.
Funds awarded must be invested in the business and a report of their use provided to WBCS no later than 8/3/2015.
- Recipient(s) must agree that all information listed on the application is available for use by the WBCS in the award presentation and publicity of the award.
