Hello Everyone, my name is Lucy Castillo!

I have recently joined the Women’s Business Council - Southwest as the Certification Manager! Every day I get the chance to work with, and support the hardworking WBEs throughout their certification process.

About me, I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas! Over the last several years I have helped support the work of an immigration law firm here in Texas. In the community, I am a member of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and in my spare time I am the co-chair of the fundraising committee for the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts. Personally, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, hiking, reading (love me a good fantasy book), and I LOVE trying new foods! I have a weak spot for rescuing and caring for injured animals, wild and domestic. I am the girl to call for anything from lost baby birds all the way to kittens!

I am so excited to get started on the Certification Team here at WBCS, and to have the opportunity to get to know even more inspiring WBEs. Many times, when I am reading or hearing the stories of women who have built what they have from scratch, it is like food for the soul. Being a woman myself, I am proud to work in a place where I am constantly empowered to evolve and face challenges head on. It makes me proud of the future we are creating for little girls like my own daughter.

If we haven’t had the chance to meet yet, I am sure we will soon! Whether you are looking at certifying your business for the first time or coming back for another great year, we will see you soon. In the meantime, I would love to say hello! Myself and the rest of our amazing team are always here to ensure you can make the most out of your Women Owned Certification. Follow us on social media, sign up for our newsletters, or check out the rest of our website here to catch all of the opportunities coming your way!

Keep an eye out for our next WBCS Staff Introduction coming to you soon!

Sincerely,

Lucy Castillo
