Hello Everyone, my name is Kayla!
I am so excited to be joining this amazing team as the new Marketing Communications Specialist here at the Women’s Business Council - Southwest! Already I have gotten to meet so many passionate WBEs, and I can not wait for the opportunity to get to know even more of you.
A bit about me, I was born and raised in a little place you might have heard of already, called Fort Worth, TX! I have a degree in political science from Abilene Christian University, and a background in marketing and public administration - I spent the last several years in public relations, working to amplify the voice of those experiencing homelessness and those serving them in our community. In my free time, I am honored to serve as the Founding President of the Rotaract Club of Fort Worth - a service organization chartered in 2020 for the purpose of bringing together young professionals talents and skills to work alongside Rotarians across the DFW Metroplex to make a bigger impact for our community.
As the newest member of the Marketing team here at the WBCS, I am so excited to bring my passion for community engagement, storytelling, and digital design to this inspiring organization and the WBEs we serve on a daily basis. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, hunting new coffee spots (recommendations accepted), reading a good book, or winding down the day at the gym!
