Hi everyone,
My name is Lindsay Pittard, and I am thankful to have been a part of the Women’s Business Council - Southwest for the past 8 years! Since 2014, I have served as our Director of Programs, Executive Director of Programs, and am honored to now serve as the new Vice President of Operations & Strategy.
Over the years, I have strategically guided our professional and personal development opportunities, recruited annual sponsors, and engaged with certified Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs) and corporate members through all major, educational and regional programs. In my new role, my focus is to take the Council to the next level by maximizing our footprint throughout our four-state region. To do this, our goal is to increase engagement with our members, while spreading the word of the amazing accomplishments women-owned businesses are achieving daily.
I have been fortunate to have a long-standing career in the non-profit sector. In 2008, I decided to relocate to Texas to pursue a fundraising event career with ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In my time there, I was able to expand their southwest region of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Louisiana markets, personally raising over $2.2 million annually. Seeking a less-traveled position, I became the Senior Director of Event Strategy for the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. Working with local Dallas service providers, fortune 500 company CEOs and donors, I implemented a variety of community impact events including a healthy mom and babies symposium featuring keynote speaker, First Lady Laura Bush.
I graduated from Louisiana State University (#geauxtigers) with a BA in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and minor in Communication Studies. Though I live in Texas, I still claim Louisiana as my home. I have two children under 6, a husband and a rescue pup to keep me busy!
I am privileged to work with so many of our outstanding WBE and Corporate members and the fantastic Council staff. I look forward to our future with new opportunities to meet even more of you in this new adventure for myself and the council!
