Veteran Woman Entrepreneur Grant
What: The Center for Women Entrepreneurs (CWE) at Texas Woman’s University is accepting submissions for the Veteran Woman Entrepreneur Grant program until May 5th. This opportunity supports women veterans in Texas who own their own businesses or are interested in launching one. Twenty-five, $5,000 grants for a total of $125,000 in grant funds will be awarded to qualified Texas women veterans who are starting or who have existing businesses. It is the third year the CWE is offering this grant program aimed specifically at helping women veteran entrepreneurs throughout Texas.

Verizon Small Business Digital Ready
What: By joining Verizon Small Business Digital Ready, you’ll not only get access to courses, live coaching sessions led by industry experts, and insightful resources, but you’ll also be able to apply for an exclusive pool of $10,000 small business grants. In partnership with LISC, Verizon Small Business Digital Ready has committed $1M in small business grants for 2023. The Center for Women Entrepreneurs, accepting applications for its Texas Rural Woman Grant
What: The Center for Women Entrepreneurs (CWE), a program of the Jane Nelson Institute for Women’s Leadership at Texas Woman’s University, will begin accepting applications for its Texas Rural Woman Grant on May 15. Thirty-five, $10,000 grants for a total of $350,000 will be awarded to qualified Texas rural women who have been in business for at least three years. It marks the first time the grant has been offered to help women in rural areas who need capital to expand their businesses.

What: Dallas County is hosting an informative outreach event and mixer to identify subcontractors for upcoming contracting opportunities in the concrete transportation industry. This event will focus on building capacity and increase networking opportunities with our prime contractor (Ergon).
