Sandia Hosts Open House Hours for Diverse Suppliers
Sandia National Laboratories (Sandia) is dedicated to investing in our community and in helping
grow our diverse supplier base. Sandia actively seeks capable, qualified small businesses, including SB,
SDB, WOSB, HUBZone SB, VOSB and SDVOSB. Sandia is pleased to announce that we will have
Open House hours in Sandia’s Supplier Lobby that will allow suppliers access to Sandia’s Supplier
Diversity Team.
We encourage businesses who wish to contract with Sandia to start by visiting www.sandia.gov
and look under “Working With Sandia.” This site will help them understand who Sandia is and what and
how we buy in order to determine if Sandia is really the correct market for them. If the supplier
determines that Sandia is the correct market, please have them attend an Open House session and be
prepared to sell their capabilities (identify “uniqueness,” technical expertise, safety record, business
acumen, financial strength, quality systems, and prior experience). Our Supplier Diversity Advocates
will answer questions on specifics about current opportunities and can help suppliers network, forge
relationships and build trust with Sandia buyers and technical customers.
We would also like to invite you to join us by either coming to the open houses as often as you
like to network and meet small businesses or to bring small, qualified businesses to meet us and learn
how to do business with Sandia. If you plan on coming, please let us know if you would like to share a
table for handouts or informational brochures.
Sandia encourages other small business support organizations to attend as well.
Supplier Open House will be as follows (dates below are for the next six months):
First Tuesday of the following months from 9:00 am – 11:00 am
- 10/4/16, 11/8/16, 12/6/16, 2/7/17 and 3/7/17
Second Wednesday of the following months from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
- 10/12/16, 11/9/16, 12/14/16, 1/11/17, 2/8/17 and 3/8/17
Third Thursday of the following months from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
- 10/20/16, 11/17/16, 12/15/16, 1/19/17, 2/16/17 and 3/16/17
