The Women’s Business Council – Southwest works hard to provide valuable programming to connect our women-owned businesses with opportunities to grow their businesses. We are able to achieve this with the support of our sponsors. Today we are highlighting one of our Champion Circle Gold Sponsors, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW Airport).

See below for a conversation with Suzanne Cruz-Sewell, Assistant Vice President, Business Diversity & Development at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

What are you proud of that your supplier diversity program has been able to accomplish?
As an organization, DFW has never wavered in its commitment to business diversity and is committed to focusing on what we can do – not what we can’t – in moving forward and implementing the blueprint for future growth at DFW Airport.

“DFW’s Business Diversity Programs, through innovative thinking and successful partnerships, continue to build opportunities and capacity for diversity business owners amidst the industry challenges these past 18 months.” – Suzanne Cruz-Sewall, DFW International

How does DFW International Airport prioritize Supplier Diversity and working with women-owned businesses?
Supplier Diversity is a business commitment that begins with Board and Senior Leadership and permeates throughout the organization.  Supplier Diversity is embedded in the Airport’s procurement process and begins with the start of a contract through contract closeout.

DFW International encourages WBE’s and potential suppliers to check out their business opportunities.
