The Women’s Business Council – Southwest works hard to provide valuable programming to connect our women-owned businesses with opportunities to grow their businesses. We are able to achieve this with the support of our sponsors.

Today we are highlighting one of our Champion Circle Gold Sponsors, Lockheed Martin, and their supplier diversity programs.

It is Lockheed Martin policy from the top that its business areas will conduct socioeconomic subcontracting programs in recognition of compelling moral, social and economic necessity.

For the United States requirements, it is also the corporation's policy to facilitate the achievement of its negotiated subcontracting goals by developing the capabilities of, and pursuing opportunities to award subcontracts and other procurements to small and small disadvantaged businesses, HUBZone, women- and veteran-owned businesses, and service disabled veteran-owned businesses.

Lockheed-Aeronautics has been a sponsor for WBCSW for many years and we continue to see how involved and dedicated to helping each other’s businesses grow and thrive. We always strive to look for potential suppliers within the membership who would be a good fit for our supply base. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to continue to be strong WBE’s in your communities and throughout the industries you support. - Rita Ramsey, Lockheed Martin, Small Business/Supplier Diversity Program Office, Women-Owned Small Business Advocate
