Oncor champions a progressive supplier diversity initiative that has the endorsement and support of the highest levels of the Oncor management team. Through partnerships with the Women’s Business Council – Southwest and other diversity business organizations, Oncor actively works to identify diverse businesses to participate in sourcing opportunities and ultimately the supply chain. Diverse businesses that are part of this supply chain bring solutions and value that make Oncor a stronger company that can deliver safe and reliable service to customers.

Ongoing effort to increase our diverse supplier base and build capacity of diverse suppliers continues to have a positive economic impact on the communities Oncor serves. The program has also helped to grow companies from small businesses into larger companies that are true business partners with Oncor and are aligned with our commitment to excellence.

WBCS membership database provides access to currently certified companies as well as the business and industry information that is needed when we are looking to include additional diverse suppliers in sourcing opportunities.
Certified WBEs should research Oncor’s website and understand our business and culture. When they are at procurement focused events hosted by the WBCS, use the networking opportunity to meet Oncor’s sourcing team and come to the table with solutions and an understanding of our business needs.
