What is Women Owned Wednesday?
Women Owned Wednesday (WOW) is a monthly, virtual event that was born in the pandemic after stay-at-home orders were first announced. This event was created with the hopes of reaching everyone, in any type of working environment. WOW will continue virtually in an effort to make this event easily accessible for anyone wanting to learn from Austin women-owned businesses.
Each month, during this hour and a half-long event, we feature a different Austin Women Business Enterprise (WBE), which is a women-owned business that has been certified through the Women’s Business Council – Southwest. We also feature speakers from local women-owned businesses that are thriving in Austin. Past speakers have included: Makers, Therapists, HR Specialists, CEOs, Lawyers, Founders, Event Specialists, Coaches, and more. Each session includes three rounds of breakout room networking, a keynote presentation, and Q&A session with the speaker.
We are excited to continue this programming in the Austin area with hopes of growing and reaching anyone in Austin who is excited to connect with and learn from other women business owners and professionals.
