On-Going Committees:
- Certification Site Visitors
Conduct site visits following WBE applicant file reviews. Appointments are scheduled by the volunteer and the applicant at a mutually convenient time. Training is provided.
Time commitment: volunteers are required to complete 2 site visits a month. - Day of Event Support
Provide help with check in at major events throughout the year
Time commitment: typically 1 hour per event - Marketing
Provide support and advice on marketing initiatives for the Council.
Time commitment: 1-3 hours per month - Women of Color Outreach Events
Help publicize and attend Women of Color events, as well as participate in our Women of Color certification coaching program.
Time commitment: Varies
Special Committee:
- 30th Anniversary Celebration
In 2025, instead of our typical gala, we’ll be hosting a 30th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, February 7 from 6:00 – 10:00 at River Ranch Stockyards in Fort Worth. With an anticipated attendance of 600, the event theme is country couture, and the full event features a VIP cocktail reception, cocktail reception with longhorn photo station, seated dinner, fundraisers, and live band with dancing. In addition to inviting people to the event, committee members are responsible for securing items for our fundraisers.
Time commitment: 1 hour each per 2 remaining meetings plus time for outreach
