Get Plugged into the Council: Attend Table Topics

You have to get plugged in. Of course, I am going to say the best place to start is the Table Topic Luncheons. Why? It is a small venue. Sometimes at large events trying to figure what to do next can be overwhelming. The Council, WBEs and Sustaining Members do a great job at reaching out to new members. In addition, by attending smaller events, you can began to build those valuable relationships.
Next, join a committee, if time will not allow you to commit to a committee then volunteer. As a volunteer, you have the potential to touch every WBE or Sustaining Member that attends an event. It is about being visible, so people will remember you. Lastly, know your niche. Be unique in your offering. You can’t be effective or efficient if you are trying to be all things to everyone.
