Need to Know: Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Technology: A Special Forum for Women

With a cryptocurrency market cap over $220 billion and Harvard Business Review saying “Blockchain Will Do to the Financial System What the Internet Did to Media,” no one has the luxury of ignoring innovations in finance and technology. But surveys indicate that men account for between 84 and 95 percent of cryptocurrency engagement and participation. There is tremendous potential for women to take part in this next revolution.
To help close this gender gap, the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is hosting Need to Know: Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Technology: A Special Forum for Women to increase awareness about cryptocurrencies and the technology that supports them. The conference will provide an overview of blockchain and cryptocurrency basics and discussion on how cryptocurrency and blockchain are being deployed in industry. Women working in cryptocurrency and blockchain will share their experiences and the opportunities available in this space.
