We are excited to announce the recipients of the 2019 Lillie Knox Investment Awards!
This year we gave away $28,500 to three outstanding ladies - Darlene Templeton, Founder and CEO of Templeton and Associates, Molly Sandlin, President and Founder of CAET Project Management Consultants, and Indu Sanka, CEO of FIRST SIGNS Graphic Solutions. Darlene Templeton, Founder and CEO of Templeton and Associates, was awarded $5,000 in order to offer her leadership development and coaching services in an online format to reach women nationwide.
Molly Sandlin, President and Founder of CAET Project Management Consultants, was awarded $8,500 to assist in the purchase of construction estimating software to provide their clients the most reliable and effective project management consulting.
Indu Sanka, CEO of FIRST SIGNS Graphic Solutions (received by Cristina Mazutis), was awarded $15,000 towards the purchase of a bucket truck that will help her business compete with larger companies in the signage space when installing large format printed graphics and custom signs.
2019 Lillie Knox Award Winners with the Selection Committee
Lillie Knox was a vital part of the history and current success of the Women's Business Council - Southwest (WBCS) and the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). The Lillie Knox Investment Award was established in 2005 to memorialize Lillie for her support of Women's Business Enterprises (WBEs) through her commitment, passion, and determination to increase opportunities for female entrepreneurs. The Lillie Knox Investment Award is funded solely by member donations. The number of awards distributed, and the amount of each award are determined by the total fund available as well as the merits of requests in each application.
