Melinda Zito O’Brien, Founder and Owner of Energy Utility Group, started working in the energy sector after seeing a new opportunity emerge as energy became deregulated in the U.S. And now she’s on a mission to help fellow Women Business Enterprises (WBEs) reduce their energy costs while incorporating sustainability into their operations.

This outreach event caters specifically to women of color business owners and their staff who are interested in doing business with corporations and/or government entities.

This program is intended to promote economic development by encouraging and enabling women-owned small businesses to start new projects. Up to 10 business owners will be selected to receive a $5,000 grant each.

Each year, WBENC presents 14 women business owners with the prestigious Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) Star Award. Congratulations to Betty Manetta for being recognized!
