In 2015, Kaylynn Jordan, President of ESNET, LLC, reached out to WBCS staff to find a WBE who could provide them commercial insurance. The council recommended President of Upshaw Johnson Company, Katie Johnson and provided Kaylynn with their contact information.

Earlier this year, Toyota was recognized by WBCS as the top corporation of the year at the Annual Parade of Stars Gala. We celebrate Toyota for implementing world-class policies and programs to enable growth and innovation while creating a level playing field for women-owned businesses.

The City of Arlington, Arlington Independent School District, and University of Texas Arlington will host a monthly supplier meeting. Purchasing staff from the agencies will be available to meet with new vendors, hand out registration instructions, and provide current contract lists.

Today we recognize, WBE, Chelsea Derrah for serving 4 active years in the US Army as a Korean Linguist. Chelsea's certified woman and service-disabled-veteran-owned company, DME currently distributes bulk copy paper, medical supplies and equipment, MRO products, and a variety of office technologies to large corporations, state agencies, and the federal government.
