2016 Power to Potential WBCS’ annual Power to Potential event was held at the Sheraton Dallas on November 8, 2016. The day started with pre-arranged matchmaker meetings, giving WBE members the chance to have one-on-one face time to discuss long-term procurement activities with potential buyers. The room was filled with positive energy and reports of very productive conversations! Following the meetings we gathered for the luncheon and annual meeting. DFW Area Vendor Fair Hosted by Tarrant County Public Agencies

Tarrant County Public Agencies are collaboratively holding a Vendor Fair Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at one centralized location (Tarrant County Resource Connection). All Small, Minority, Women, Historical Underutilized or Disadvantaged Businesses and Enterprises are encouraged to come out. Attendees will get the opportunity to meet the decision makers from different businesses throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth areas, attend workshops, participate in one-on-one interviews with buyers, network and learn about both current and upcoming bid opportunities. The City of Dallas along with some of our partnering entities such as Parkland, D.I.S.D., Dallas County, NCTRCA, WBCS, NTTA, DCCCD and D/FWMSCDC will be hosting an event that would allow vendors to start and complete the certification process to become M/WBE certified as well as obtain current and upcoming opportunities with the various entities.
